The order which was approved by parliment in June 2006 will affect all non-domestic buildings in England and Wales.The new law will affect anyone who is responsible for business premises, an employer, self employed with a business premises a charity or voluntary organisation or a contractor with a degree of control over any premises.The main requirement is that employers and building owners should carry out a fire risk assessment record these findings and act on the findings.
